Shiba Inu Developers, Reveal Future Plans in First-Ever Interview
The once-anonymous leaders of Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB), the world’s largest decentralized community, Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya, have broken their silence in an exclusive first interview with Arabian Business.
What Happened:
After weeks of negotiations and stringent security protocols, the interview took place at 3 a.m. in a café. Throughout the conversation and the subsequent photoshoot, both Kusama and Dhairya remained completely concealed. Previously, Kusama was an Uber driver in Los Angeles, and Dhairya worked as a food delivery courier in New York. Today, they lead Shiba Inu, the second most-traded cryptocurrency of 2023, trailing only Bitcoin.
Under Shytoshi Kusama’s leadership, Shiba Inu has experienced valuation fluctuations between $10 billion and $41 billion. Their ambitious goal is to transform Shiba Inu into the world’s first trillion-dollar decentralized entity. With less than 5% of the global population currently engaged in crypto, they believe memes will serve as the gateway to crypto and blockchain, positioning Shiba Inu as the brand that will lead the transition from Web2 to Web3.
Kusama announced plans to hand over control to the community by the end of 2024, establishing committees to oversee various aspects of the project.
Why It Matters:
Shytoshi and Kaal revealed that Ryoshi, the project’s founder, had a clear vision to create five tokens (SHIB, BONE, LEASH, TREAT, SHI) and multiple technologies. He believed that if these elements were developed, Shiba Inu could surpass Dogecoin, earning the nickname “Dogecoin killer.”
Trending:
1 in 4 Americans own Bitcoin, according to NASDAQ, with many starting through free crypto faucets.
Shytoshi shared how he met Ryoshi in a chat room, pitching a simple idea that Ryoshi called great, leading to their collaboration. Shytoshi brought in Kaal for his tech expertise.
Arabian Business, citing Dhariya, reported that SHIB is focused on creating memes and empowering people to amplify their messages using the platform. Kusama emphasized that while Shiba Inu may seem like just a meme, it has a robust structure enabling it to conduct business globally. He remarked that unlike Tesla, which heavily relies on Elon Musk, Shiba Inu will continue to thrive even without Shytoshi or Kaal.
