Julien’s Big Misunderstanding-Funny Stroy

Meet Julien Daniel. Julien thinks he is the most handsome and strongest guy around. He’s got muscles (well, sort of) and a smile he believes can melt hearts. One day, Julien was talking to his best friend, Mike, about a girl he had a crush on. Her name was Lisa.

“Mike, Lisa is so hot. She’s my bestie, you know,” Julien boasted.

Mike raised an eyebrow. He knew Lisa barely knew Julien existed. “Really? You and Lisa are besties?” Mike asked, trying not to laugh.

“Of course! We’re like two peas in a pod,” Julien said, flexing his non-existent muscles.

Julien then had a bold idea. “Mike, do you think I should ask Lisa to be my girlfriend?”

Mike saw a perfect opportunity for some fun. “Why not, Julien? Go ahead and ask her. What’s the worst that could happen?”

Julien puffed out his chest and swaggered over to Lisa, who was standing with her friends. He tried to look cool, but tripped over his own feet and stumbled. Regaining his balance, he put on his most charming smile.

“Hey, Lisa,” Julien said, trying to sound smooth. “I was thinking… you and me, we’re pretty close, right?”

Lisa looked confused. “Um, do I know you?”

Julien chuckled nervously. “Oh, come on, Lisa. We’re besties! Anyway, I was wondering if you’d like to be my girlfriend.”

The whole courtyard went silent. Lisa stared at Julien for a moment, then burst out laughing. Her friends joined in, and Julien’s confident smile started to fade.

“Are you serious?” Lisa asked between laughs. “You’re the ugliest guy in the world!” And with that, she slapped him right across the face.

Julien’s face turned red, and not from the slap. He quickly turned and walked back to Mike, who was laughing so hard he could barely stand.

“So, how’d it go, Romeo?” Mike asked, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes.

Julien sighed. “Well, that didn’t go as planned. Maybe I’m not as handsome as I thought.”

Mike patted Julien on the back. “Don’t worry, buddy. There’s someone out there for everyone. Just maybe not Lisa.”

From that day on, Julien decided to be a little less confident and a lot more realistic. And he learned that maybe, just maybe, it’s best to get to know someone before declaring them your “bestie” and asking them out.
